Nusa Dua




Nusa Dua is an area in southern Bali, Indonesia. It’s known for
its sandy beaches like Geger Beach, international resorts and an 18-hole
golf course. The intricately carved Pura Geger stone temple sits on a
forested bluff overlooking the ocean. Museum Pasifika shows paintings
from, or inspired by, the Asia-Pacific region. North of Nusa Dua, boats
connect the fishing port of Tanjung Benoa

MASSACHUSETTS BEACHES

KATAMA BEACH MARTHAS VINEYARD MASSACHUSETTS has thousands of beaches - no way did I have time to check them all so I confined myself to some on CAPE COD, MARTHAS VINEYARD and NANTUCKET. I tried to concentrate on those beaches the reviews said where above average. BOSTON** is about 210m/340km by road from NYC. It's another 60m/100km until you cross the CAPE COD CANAL which is the western boundary of the Cape. Then it's another 9m/15km to the biggest settlement and main port BARNSTABLE/HYANNIS although you can go a hell of a lot further: trendy PROVINCETOWN in the far north is 62m/100km from the canal. NANTUCKET ISLAND is abt 25m/40km offshore from HYANNIS - from the same place MARTHAS is 20m/30km although parts of it are much closer to CAPE COD. ** NOTE BOSTON is in the wrong place on this image - that's just south of PROVIDENCE RI. DARWIN

FROM THE BUDGET TRAVELER'S POINT OF VIEW     (visited November 2016) Budget accommodation doesn't have to be basic - relaxing by the pool on the free WIFI at the YHA. Listen up, there's a heap of DARWIN travel sites will give you bulk info about attractions, trips, where to stay etc.....but this one is slightly different from most in that it attacks the above from the point of view of a bucks-down traveler. I won't say BACKPACKER because my experience is that backpackers these days tend to be a lot more cashed up than 20 years back. Although some are still doing it on the proverbial shoestring.... LOCATION - SIZE - LAYOUT DARWIN is at the top end of the TOP END. Distance from SYDNEY - approx 3200km in a straight line: MELBOURNE abt the same:PERTH - 2700km. Interesting, JAKARTA capital of INDONESIA is closer at 2650km. No wonder so many Top Enders holiday in BALI - 1900km. DARWIN - top end of THE TOP END. Plus other NT locations of note.
